Project Summary

Prevailing Wind Park is a 219.6 megawatt wind turbine farm near Avon, SD. This park features some of the largest land-based turbines in the entire U.S., and we were only the second contractor in the country entrusted to install them. These 3.83 megawatt wind turbines from GE have a 137m rotor diameter and 111.5m hub height, and required three 1,100 ton cranes and 28 miles of 115 kv transmission line to complete.
